Maintenance
- Is there a planned preventive maintenance schedule for the machine?
- Are maintenance logs kept for the last 12 months?
- Are breakdowns recorded with root cause and fix?
- Are critical spare parts identified and available?
Calibration
- Are measuring instruments on the machine calibrated on schedule?
- Are calibration certificates available and traceable?
- Are out-of-calibration results investigated?
- Is calibration status visibly labelled on the equipment?
Safety
- Are guards in place on all moving parts?
- Are emergency stops present and tested at least monthly?
- Is a lockout/tagout procedure documented and followed?
- Are hazard signs and safe operating instructions displayed?
Operators
- Are operators trained and authorised for this machine?
- Is operator training recorded and refreshed periodically?
- Is required PPE available and used at the machine?
- Do operators complete a pre-use check, and is it recorded?
